Diana Bronze Statue Allegory of Bavaria
The statue of a female wearing deerskin stands on a marble base, with her left foot propped up on a small barrel. The barrel symbolizes the wealth of the salt mine. In her right arm, she holds a skinned elk head. The elk skin wrapped around her body symbolizes the wealth of nature. These decorations on her body symbolize prosperity and abundance.
Tellus Bavarica
Tellus Bavarica adorns the dome of the Munich Hofgarten pavilion, which built in memory of Diana. The figure stands with one foot on a salt bucket and holds ears of wheat in his hand. At her feet, an amphora with water gushing from it represents the abundance of water and thus the Bavarian shipping routes; the right forearm is covered with a deerskin with a head and horns, symbolizing the wealth of nature. Diana is surrounded by four cherubs and shows a cornucopia, a model of a church, an elector’s hat and an oak branch.
